The Junior Stage (grades 2-4) participants broaden their social and developmental skills through a focus on team work, while building self-confidence through performance and exploring their imaginations. They will learn how to creatively problem solve with their peers, and how to confidently contribute their own ideas through the introduction of storytelling, improvisation, role-playing, scripted work, pantomime, voice and movement.
The Intermediate Stage (grades 5-8) participants will dive further into the fundamentals of theatre, learning how to create honest and genuine characters through improvisation, memorization, and personal experience, all the while honing the unique talents of individual participants to become confident and courageous actors. This program focuses on the development of trust and collaboration within the group, and the fuelling of spontaneity, and creativity. (No prerequisite required).
Masks required. Maximum registration is 12. Please see the Theatre Orangeville website for our Academy COVID-19 Policy.
